Animal Policy International (API)

API is dedicated to improving farmed animal welfare by advocating for responsible imports that align with higher domestic welfare standards. We work primarily in New Zealand and the UK, pushing for fair, equal standards that not only protect animals but also create a level playing field in global markets. This approach incentivises farmers in exporting countries to adopt better welfare practices, reducing factory farming and its associated suffering.
