Anahat For Change
Anahat For Change is a youth-led and youth-run organization dedicated to empowering women through skill-building and livelihood generation, with sustainability at the core of our work. We work closely with urban and rural communities across India. Our focus is on promoting awareness of personal safety education programs, sexual and reproductive health rights, menstrual health and hygiene, and capacity development. By engaging local partners and community leaders, we strive to create a gender-sensitive environment, especially among adolescent girls and boys in schools, building their confidence and challenging gender norms.
Our two major projects, Unnati and Udaan, are making significant impacts in West Bengal. Unnati promotes menstrual hygiene management and sexual reproductive health rights among both male and female community members. Udaan aims to eradicate gender-based violence and discrimination by empowering women and girls in various regions of Bengal.
About the role
As a Social Media Executive, you’ll play a crucial role in promoting Anahat’s mission and vision across various digital platforms. You’ll be at the forefront of our communication efforts, ensuring that our message reaches a broader audience and resonates deeply with them. If you’re passionate about gender justice and have a flair for creating engaging content, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation & Curation: Design, curate, edit, and publish engaging graphic content for social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Strategy Development: Design and implement social media strategies to increase visibility and impact.
- Account Management: Oversee Anahat’s social media accounts, schedule posts, communicate with followers, and respond to comments.
- Research & Analysis: Perform research on current trends, analyze content performance metrics, and use insights to refine content strategies.
- Collaborative Branding: Work with our communication team to ensure cohesive branding and messaging across all platforms.
- Innovation: Implement new features like promotions and competitions to develop brand awareness.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Social Media Management.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics tools, and content management systems.
- Knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics.
- Excellent creative and conceptual thinking skills.
- Ability to deliver creative content in text, image, and video formats.
- Experience with web design and online marketing channels.
- Passion for social causes, with a commitment to Anahat’s mission.
Remuneration
- The position offers a remuneration of ₹18,000 per month.
- This is a full-time role based at our head office in Kolkata, West Bengal. We work from Monday to Saturday, with the 1st and 3rd Saturdays off.
