Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy is India’s premier legal think-tank focused on creating laws that work for everyone and promote socio-economic progress. Established in 2013, Vidhi combines evidence-based research with government collaboration to draft impactful legislation, strengthen public institutions, and realise fundamental rights. The organisation’s work spans diverse areas such as judicial reforms, financial regulations, disability rights, and environmental law. Operating nationally from Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, Vidhi partners with governments, courts, and civil society to improve governance through clearer, contemporary, and more effective legal frameworks.

Role

Nyaaya is an open-access digital platform providing simple, actionable, and authoritative legal information to Indian citizens in multiple Indian languages. It aims to democratise access to justice, ensuring legal knowledge is accessible beyond privileged communities. Nyaaya is seeking a Social Media Intern to join its Content & Communications team. The ideal candidate is passionate about transforming how citizens interact with law and justice, with strong skills in creating engaging reels in English and Hindi.
Initial duration: 3 months, with possibility of extension

Legal background is not mandatory for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Nyaaya team to ideate, create, and implement social media content plans.
  • Produce at least 4 high-quality Instagram reels per month in Hindi and English.
  • Develop innovative social media campaign ideas to increase outreach and engagement.
  • Manage and maintain the social media campaigns calendar alongside the Content & Communications Team.
  • Ensure high quality and accuracy of all social media content before posting.

Requirements

Essential:

  • Must be a penultimate or final-year college student.
  • Proven experience in creating impactful social media reels and videos (both short- and long-form).
  • Comfortable and camera-friendly on video.
  • Fluency in English and Hindi (written and spoken).
  • Familiarity with Indian laws is preferred.
  • Knowledge of evolving social media algorithms, hashtags, and trends across platforms.
  • Ability to take ownership and manage projects end-to-end with minimal supervision.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
  • Quick learner, proactive, responsive, and open to feedback.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.

Desirable:

  • Active personal social media presence.
  • Prior experience managing social media accounts for individuals or organisations.
