SaveLIFE Foundation (SLF) is on a mission to save lives on roads across India. Since 2012, over 1.5 million people have been killed in road crashes, and close to 5 million have been left seriously injured or permanently disabled. Apart from the emotional trauma, road crashes impose a severe economic burden on families.
Our work spans forensic crash investigations, data analytics, predictive modelling, safety design, public policy, and strategic communication. We provide a creative environment for problem-solving and leadership development.
About The Role
Location: New Delhi

Responsibilities
- Write efficient code in Python and PHP to automate and optimise data workflows and applications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and design streamlined data solutions.
- Develop and maintain PHP-based applications integrated with backend systems.
- Clean, transform, and automate data extraction from SQL databases, APIs, and web scraping.
- Build and maintain data pipelines for real-time and batch data processing.
- Integrate third-party APIs for data updates.
- Work with analytical tools to provide actionable insights and support data visualisation.
- Deploy and optimise solutions in a production environment.
Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and PHP.
- Experience with PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter).
- Strong background in data engineering and backend system development.
- Experience with Python libraries (requests, scrapy, pandas, sqlalchemy) for ETL processes.
- Working knowledge of third-party API integration.
- Understanding of relational databases and data modelling.
- Familiarity with Airflow, Kafka, PySpark for data workflows.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and Terraform.
- Debugging and optimisation skills in PHP and databases.
- Basic understanding of statistics and probability.
Educational & Professional Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, software development, or related roles.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with R and R Shiny.
- Familiarity with PHP database interactions (PDO, MySQLi) and security best practices.
