About the Project

Nutrition International (NI) collaborates with SAMS to implement the Rice Fortification Program in West Bengal, addressing malnutrition through fortified rice distribution.

About the Role

Position: Software Developer
Location: Kolkata, West Bengal
Reports To: Programme Manager (State Technical Consultant – Team Leader) & Senior Software Developer
Employment Type: Full-time Consultant with SAMS.
Term: Initial contract till March 2025, renewable based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop modules for the rice fortification portal.
Integrate the portal with government digital systems.
Implement front-end and back-end features.
Debug and test developed code.
Collaborate with QA teams for thorough testing.
Maintain documentation of development processes.
Support technical implementation and resolve user issues.
Prepare user manuals and training materials.
Stay updated on software development best practices.

Other Duties: As assigned by the State PMU/Nutrition International or the Food & Supplies Department.

Qualifications:

First-class MCA, B.E., B.Tech., or M.Sc. in IT/Computer Science.

Experience:

1–3 years in software design, development, and implementation.
Experience in government projects preferred.

Skills:

Proficiency in ASP.NET Core WebAPI, Entity Framework Core.
Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
Familiarity with Angular/React and SQL Server.
Understanding of UI frameworks, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and version control systems like Git.
Problem-solving and technical debugging skills.
