Language and Learning Foundation (LLF)

Language and Learning Foundation (LLF) is dedicated to improving the learning outcomes of children in primary schools. They focus on foundational literacy and numeracy, with a special emphasis on using a child’s home language to make learning more effective. Their mission is to create a strong educational base for every child through better teaching practices and community-focused solutions.

Role

The Specialist, Multilingual Education (MLE) leads the academic side of field projects. The purpose of this role is to design teaching materials, train educators, and monitor program quality to ensure children gain strong literacy skills in a multilingual environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and design Teaching-Learning Materials (TLM) tailored to specific project needs.
• Develop workshop designs and training modules for teachers and school leaders.
• Lead capacity-building sessions for academic resource persons and government officials.
• Design assessment and classroom observation tools to track program impact.
• Create detailed activity plans for school monitoring and teacher training.
• Conduct monthly and weekly reviews with district teams to track progress.
• Manage and analyze program data to share findings with stakeholders.
• Perform at least 4 school visits per month to provide onsite support and monitoring.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Education, Linguistics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in the education sector, focusing on MLE or FLN programs.
• Proven experience in designing educational materials and training modules.
• Strong skills in data management, analysis, and reporting.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team management abilities.
• Cultural sensitivity and a strong commitment to educational equity.
• Experience working with government education departments is highly preferred.
