Sauramandala Foundation is an NGO founded in 2018 with a vision to bring about systemic change in the lives of remote communities. The Centre for Accelerated Development (CFAD) is a public policy framework that addresses the challenges remote and inaccessible communities face by accelerating social and economic change through collaborative action, working with the government to scale up programs to increase impact.
Role
You'll be responsible for drafting and finalizing grant proposals and reports to help scale some of the Foundation's proven social impact initiatives in the Northeast and Eastern regions of India. You will work closely with the Knowledge Management Team, Founding Team, and Partnership Leads to craft compelling narratives for potential donors and for the public.
Responsibilities
- Curate an active pipeline of domestic and international donors.
- Utilize the donor CRM to qualify leads and add to the active pipeline.
- Conduct desk research and discuss with donors and previous grantees to understand donor priorities.
- Write grant proposals in various formats (full proposals, short proposals, concept notes, etc.).
- Craft narratives for impact reports based on M&E data for both donors and a general audience.
Requirements
- 4-8 years of relevant experience in grant research and writing.
- Experience in quantitative and qualitative research, including a good understanding of descriptive statistics and data analysis using MS-Excel.
- An undergraduate or graduate degree in social sciences or humanities.
- Proficiency in using word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
- High degree of skill in organizing information and managing time.
- Some experience in agriculture-based livelihoods, youth development, or enterprise promotion is a plus.
