About the Role
The Support Engineer will provide technical support for the Rejuvenating Water Bodies (RWB) project and specifically work on the Avni software used for data collection and project management.
Location: Bangalore, India (non-remote)
Experience: 1-3 years
Salary: 6 to 8 LPA, depending on experience
Project Overview
Rejuvenating Water Bodies (RWB):
- RWB is a model aimed at desilting water bodies to improve groundwater recharge and increase farmers’ productivity.
- The model has shown significant economic benefits, with farmers experiencing an average 120% rise in annual net income.
Avni Software:
- An open-source, Android-based app, Avni allows real-time data collection for field activities.
- Data collected is centralised and analysed through dashboards, aiding in project insights.
Key Responsibilities
L1 Support:
- Back-end Uploads: Assist with backend tasks like uploading water body data and creating user IDs.
- Platform Coordination: Work with tech platforms such as Avni-Gramin, Jasper, Glific, and Dalgo for troubleshooting.
- Initial Troubleshooting: Provide technical support via platforms like Glific (WhatsApp bot), assisting users with basic troubleshooting.
- Issue Documentation: Log incidents and escalate issues to relevant departments as necessary.
- User Training: Guide users in setting up and using project applications, providing online and on-field support for RWB.
L2 Support:
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Handle complex issues like software configurations and system compatibility.
L3 Escalation:
- Collaborate with the Avni platform team to resolve critical issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in web browsers and Android device connectivity features.
- Working knowledge of SQL.
Soft Skills:
- Proficiency in English and Hindi (knowledge of Marathi, Kannada, or Tamil is a plus).
- Problem-solving abilities and a customer-service-oriented attitude.
