Sarvam Shakti is a revolutionary project of the not-for-profit Sarvam Foundation where girls from urban slums are trained in a holistic educational module for their body, mind and soul. Each girl is trained seriously in 1 form of either Classical Dance/Music or Yogic Sciences. She appears for degrees and diplomas in the same. This goes alongside her formal academic education in schools and Shakti supports this by offering free academic tuitions after school in all formal subjects of learning. They are also given supplementary nutrition and lifeskill training.
Role
Teaching & Management Intern responsible for supporting classroom activities, student engagement, and administrative work in an education programme focused on empowering girls.
Responsibilities
- Support teachers in daily classroom activities and lesson delivery.
- Help maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment.
- Take and manage student attendance records.
- Track student regularity and inform parents/guardians in case of irregular attendance.
- Support organising events and activities at the centre.
- Maintain student files, records, and basic data.
- Provide administrative and on-ground support for programmes.
- Complete assigned tasks and responsibilities on time.
Requirements
- Strong interest in education, community work, and empowerment of girls.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and working English.
- Patience, discipline, and ability to work in a team.
- This internship is open only to female candidates.
- Available for a part-time, 6-month commitment.
