Tech4Good Community is a spirited, women-led movement based in Bangalore, determined to bridge India’s vast technology divide within the social sector. Founded in 2018, the organisation began with a simple yet powerful dream: make technology a true ally for grassroots changemakers across India’s diverse landscapes.
At Tech4Good, the mission is clear and urgent—champion accessible, purpose-driven tech innovation for nonprofits and social enterprises working on issues ranging from climate action and health to education and livelihoods. The team doesn’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, they walk hand-in-hand with community organisations, listening deeply, understanding real-world challenges, and shaping custom digital tools that are both practical and transformative.

What truly sets Tech4Good apart is their empathy-first approach. The organisation’s members are not just technologists—they’re problem solvers with sharp social instincts and a passion for driving impact. The workshops, open-source platforms, and mentorship programmes have helped more than 1,500 organisations build digital confidence, overcome resource gaps, and measure success with clarity.
Tech4Good’s initiatives are powered by strong partnerships with leading philanthropies such as Tata Trusts and Rohini Nilekani Philanthropies. Support isn’t just financial—it’s about nurturing an ecosystem where social missions and technology reinforce each other. The organisation is remote-friendly, with its heart in Bangalore, and thrives on collaboration across different states and cultures.
Day-to-day, Tech4Good’s team tackles everything from developing mobile apps and AI-driven tools for conservation projects to designing intuitive user experiences for field workers in rural India. They prototype at speed, adapt flexibly, and celebrate the small victories—knowing that every tech breakthrough brings communities a step closer to their goals.
