Nutrition International is a global non-profit with over 600 staff across 11 countries, working to transform lives through improved nutrition. Their Programs Unit leads the design, delivery, and quality assurance of core interventions and supports national and global policies through technical support and research.

Role

The Technical Advisor will provide high-quality, evidence-based technical guidance on maternal and infant health and nutrition across Nutrition International’s programs in Africa and Asia. This role involves program support, quality assurance, knowledge sharing, external representation, and resource mobilization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for program design, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Stay updated on best practices and share knowledge with NI teams.
  • Analyse and document NI’s work for internal use and external stakeholders.
  • Represent NI at international forums and contribute to publications, policy advocacy, and partnerships.
  • Support proposal writing and resource mobilization activities.
  • Promote innovations in programming through collaboration with regional and country teams.
  • Oversee financial tracking, partner coordination, and project documentation.
  • Travel internationally for 1–3 weeks at a time, up to 40 days per year.

Requirements

  • Postgraduate degree (Master’s/PhD) in nutrition, public health, or related field.
  • Strong background in public health nutrition and maternal health.
  • Experience supporting policy development and program implementation.
  • Familiarity with health systems across Africa and Asia.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and cultural adaptability skills.
  • Must have legal entitlement to work in Canada, Kenya, or India.
