Imagine a world where every child—no matter where they are born—has the tools, skills, and confidence to lead and succeed. That’s the future The Apprentice Project (TAP) is building. Established to address the stark inequality in Indian education, TAP works with children from low-income backgrounds, recognising that more than 100 million kids lack access to essential 21st-century skills. The result? Barriers that persist for generations. TAP’s response is imaginative and rigorous: using AI, immersive learning, and culturally relevant, multilingual content, the organisation is closing these gaps one confident, inspired young mind at a time.

TAP’s suite of innovative educational programmes focuses not only on academic achievement, but on cultivating emotional intelligence, digital literacy, and practical, everyday skills—from creativity and collaboration to basic financial literacy. A child who enters the TAP ecosystem is encouraged to question, explore, and create, building projects and joining peer-driven activities designed for maximum real-world impact. In 2023-24 alone, students engaged in over 482,000 interactions with TAP’s technology and produced more than 2,500 projects aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Recognition hasn’t been slow to follow: TAP won the Harvard President’s Innovation Challenge grand prize and was certified as a “Great Place To Work®”, reflecting both external credibility and a commitment to positive, growth-oriented workplace culture.
But at TAP, numbers and awards are only part of the story. The spirit of the organisation is its people—educators, technologists, and changemakers—dedicated to breaking down barriers and driving opportunity. With plans to reach a million children, TAP is scaling rapidly, fuelled by partnerships, innovation, and a collaborative ethos.
