Transform Rural India

Transform Rural India (TRI) is a New Delhi-based non-profit organisation founded in 2015 with a singular mission to transform opportunities for communities in rural India at a systemic level. TRI works to convert languishing localities into flourishing communities by deploying grounded, scalable development solutions.

TRI's guiding philosophy, called "Thoughtful Tarakki," is a tri-focal development model that engages the whole of society - the state (Sarkaar), the market (Bazaar), and communities (Samaaj). This multi-disciplinary approach addresses critical dimensions of rural life including Health & Nutrition, Primary Education, Farm Prosperity, Jobs & Enterprises, Local Governance, Gender & Inclusion, and Water & Sanitation.
