About Transitions Research
Transitions Research is dedicated to driving sustainable transitions by bridging knowledge gaps and fostering actionable solutions. Our People’s Urban Living Lab (PULL) initiative focuses on empowering mid-sized cities in India to become pioneers in the country’s net-zero transition. With India’s rapidly growing urban population, these cities play a crucial role in adopting socio-technical innovations across sectors like energy, buildings, mobility, and business. However, a lack of capacity and technical know-how presents major barriers to achieving net-zero goals.
Through PULL, we support urban decision-makers by providing strategies that close knowledge gaps, with a special emphasis on driving demand for net-zero solutions and sustainable lifestyles. Our work ensures that as cities grow, they avoid carbon lock-in and transition toward a climate-resilient future.
