Udhyam Learning Foundation is an organization working to make India a more entrepreneurial nation. It operates on the belief that fostering an entrepreneurial spirit helps individuals recognize and use their potential, create value, and build their own paths. The foundation's work is carried out through two distinct programs, each targeting a different group but united by the same core mission.
The first program, Udhyam Shiksha, focuses on young people. By partnering with state governments, this initiative introduces an entrepreneurial way of thinking into schools and vocational training institutes. The curriculum is designed to be hands-on, encouraging students to learn by doing and to take ownership of their learning process. This program has already reached millions of students across a dozen states, helping shape the mindset of the next generation.
The second program, Udhyam Vyapaar, directs its efforts towards nano-entrepreneurs within the informal economy, such as street vendors and small rural business owners. It provides practical support to help these individuals grow their businesses and increase their income. This includes help with sourcing materials, marketing, and developing business skills. A key project within this program has successfully helped thousands of ironing vendors switch to more efficient equipment, leading to higher earnings and a positive environmental impact. Through these targeted efforts, Udhyam Vyapaar has already created a significant income uplift for thousands of small entrepreneurs.
