Unessa Foundation
Unessa Foundation is a volunteer-led, mission-driven non-profit organisation dedicated to the education, holistic well-being, and long-term empowerment of underprivileged children across India. Founded and driven by a belief that every child deserves not just survival but the genuine opportunity to dream, learn, and thrive, Unessa works at the intersection of quality education and compassionate mentorship.

Operating across five states: Gujarat, Karnataka, West Bengal (Kolkata), Madhya Pradesh, and beyond. Unessa takes its programmes directly to children living in shelter homes, orphanages, and institutional care facilities. With new chapters actively being planned, the organisation is rapidly scaling its model of empowerment to multiple cities nationwide.
Unessa's work is grounded in the insight that shelter and basic schooling, while essential, are simply not enough. Children in institutional care often age out of the system at 18, equipped with rote knowledge but lacking the confidence, communication skills, digital literacy, and life-readiness they need to build a fulfilling, self-sufficient future. Unessa exists to bridge that gap, decisively and sustainably.

Flagship Programme: Project Sneh: Volunteer-Led Education ProgrammeProject Sneh is Unessa's flagship weekend initiative, conducted on-site at shelter homes and orphanages throughout the academic year. Powered entirely by passionate, trained volunteers, it goes far beyond tuition, combining group learning, interactive activities, life lessons, and mentorship to build the confidence and practical skills that children will carry into adulthood. All sessions are delivered completely free of cost to the partner institutions.
