Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy

Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy

Since its inception in 2013, the Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy has emerged as India’s foremost think-tank dedicated to improving legal frameworks and governance through scholarly research and strategic collaboration. Founded with a mission to make better laws, Vidhi works closely with governments, courts, regulators, and civil society across India to produce high-quality, actionable research that leads to practical reforms.

Vidhi’s approach involves a fusion of original research, legislative drafting, and policy engagement. This ensures that laws passed are transparent, constitutional, and adapted to the evolving needs of society. The organisation promotes the “5Cs” principle: laws should be constitutional, clear, compliant with international standards, coherent, and contemporary. This rigorous standard has positioned Vidhi as a trusted advisor in complex areas like insolvency law, digital privacy, and judicial reforms.
