About the Role
Position: Visual Communication Designer (Consultant)
Location: India
Type: 1-year contract with the possibility of a full-time position
Noora Health is seeking a Visual Communication Designer to develop high-quality Information, Education, and Communication materials for the Care Companion Program. This role involves visual design, user research, prototyping, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative and impactful materials.
Responsibilities
Design & Execution
- Develop print and digital communication materials such as posters, takeaways, flipcharts, and rich media graphics.
- Create sketches and visual concepts to effectively communicate design ideas.
- Ensure materials are easy to understand, visually engaging, and culturally relevant.
- Maintain design consistency across projects and formats.
- Collaborate with marketing and branding teams to ensure a cohesive visual identity.
Collaboration & Team Support
- Work closely with health communication experts, service designers, researchers, illustrators, and filmmakers.
- Mentor and guide other designers, ensuring adherence to brand and accessibility standards.
- Manage project execution from concept to final delivery, ensuring efficiency and meeting deadlines.
- Coordinate with local printers and vendors for high-quality print production.
User-Centered Design & Innovation
- Conduct user interviews, visual testing, prototype testing, and user research.
- Push creative boundaries while ensuring feasibility and scalability.
- Design for inclusivity and accessibility to resonate with diverse audiences.
- Advocate for user-centered design decisions across teams.
Design Systems & Best Practices
- Develop and maintain design templates, style guides, and asset libraries.
- Stay updated with design trends and best practices to improve efficiency.
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Present design concepts to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Gather and incorporate feedback while maintaining design integrity.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5-6 years in graphic design, visual communication, or related fields.
- Education: Graduate degree in design or relevant experience.
- Skills: Strong expertise in print design, typography, and layout for public health or social impact projects.
- Tools: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, etc.).
- Collaboration: Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and mentoring designers.
- Field Research: Willingness to travel for research and observations.
- Languages: Proficiency in English (additional regional languages are a plus).
