The Design team at the IIHS collaborates with various programmes and handles the branding and visual design of communication material. Their work involves designing and branding a range of collaterals, including posters, brochures, websites, as well as visual communication for events and conferences.
About the Role
IIHS is seeking a Visual and Graphics Design Associate to join their design team. The associate will play a key role in producing high-quality visual designs that are aligned with the institution’s brand identity and communication objectives. This is a contractual position for an initial term of 11 months, with the possibility of renewal or transitioning into a regular position.
Location: Bengaluru, with potential travel to other locations in India

Responsibilities
- Design visual content for digital and print media, including reports, infographics, social media graphics, and event collateral.
- Ensure consistency with IIHS’ brand guidelines across all design work.
- Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to understand project requirements.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and develop creative design concepts.
- Maintain a well-organised library of visual assets.
- Utilise industry-standard software (Adobe Creative Suite) to create and edit graphics.
- Review and proofread design work to meet quality standards.
- Manage multiple design projects, meeting deadlines effectively.
- Stay updated with design trends and technologies.
- Provide support to other IIHS activities, including research and training.
Qualifications
- A Graduate/Post Graduate degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related discipline.
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in graphic design with the ability to work independently.
- Strong portfolio showcasing diverse design projects.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Knowledge of typography, colour theory, and layout principles.
- Good communication skills in English, Kannada, or Hindi.
- Time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects.
- Knowledge of web design, UI/UX design concepts, and CMS like WordPress (added advantage).
- Additional skills such as photography, drawing, animation, and web programming are a plus.
