Role

IIHS is looking for a talented and experienced Visual and Graphics Design Associate to create compelling designs that align with the institute’s brand identity. This is an 11-month contractual role, renewable on mutual consent, with the potential to become a regular position.

Responsibilities

• Create visual content for digital and print media, including books, reports, infographics, social media, event collateral, presentations, and advertisements.
• Maintain brand consistency across all channels.
• Collaborate with the design team, marketing, and other stakeholders to deliver on briefs.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative design ideas.
• Maintain an organised library of visual assets.
• Use industry-standard software like Adobe Creative Suite to create and edit graphics.
• Review and proof designs to meet quality standards.
• Manage multiple projects and meet timelines.
• Stay updated on design trends and best practices.
• Support other IIHS activities, including academics, research, training, and operations.
• Participate in institution-building activities and travel within India as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related discipline from a design/art school.
• 4–6 years of proven graphic design experience with the ability to work independently.
• Strong portfolio with diverse design projects.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Strong understanding of typography, colour theory, and layout principles.
• Attention to detail and high-quality design execution.
• Proficiency in English and Kannada or Hindi.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Time management skills and ability to handle multiple projects.
• Knowledge of web design and UI/UX concepts (preferred).

Added advantage: Photography, drawing/sketching, animation, HTML, web programming, WordPress, CMS-based applications, FTP hosting.
