Role
Guide young children in grades Nursery through 5 in the art of weaving to help them develop focus, manual dexterity, and a sense of accomplishment through tactile learning.
Responsibilities
- Lead hands-on weaving sessions for primary school students.
- Coordinate classroom activities that align heritage crafts with educational goals.
- Manage classroom dynamics to ensure a safe and creative learning environment.
- Support children in developing patience and creative problem-solving skills.
- Communicate the value of traditional crafts to students and school leadership.
Requirements
- Passionate individuals who enjoy working with children (female candidates preferred).
- Educational background in Montessori teaching or general education is a plus.
- Strong verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to learn and master basic weaving techniques during provided training.
- Patience and leadership skills required to manage young learners.
