About the Role
As a Web Designer Consultant, you will play a key role in designing and developing YWCA of Delhi’s website. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the website aligns with the organization's mission and objectives while delivering an engaging user experience. You will use your technical skills in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, jQuery, and other web technologies to create a dynamic and responsive website.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of YWCA of Delhi’s website.
- Collaborate with teams from marketing, content, and IT to meet brand and technical requirements.
- Design responsive web pages using front-end technologies like Bootstrap and CSS.
- Oversee website functionality, including server management, online payments, SSL certification, and hosting.
- Ensure cross-device compatibility (computers, tablets, phones).
- Implement a simple content management system (CMS) for staff to update content.
- Incorporate secure options for donations, event registrations, and membership sign-ups.
- Follow SEO best practices and integrate social media platforms.
- Lead a small team of developers, offering guidance and reviewing code.
Skills & Experience
- 8-10 years of experience in web design and development.
- 3+ years of experience leading a development team.
- Expertise in PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, and Bootstrap.
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Experience with MySQL and integrating third-party services.
- Experience developing and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of WordPress best practices.
- Strong understanding of user experience and online payment systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
