About The Role
World Bank is seeking a Senior IT Assistant, Security, Risk and Compliance to partner with other security professionals to develop AI applications and automation playbooks supporting security operations team. The position will be based in Chennai, India, and will involve working under the Information Security and Risk Management (ITSSR) unit, specifically within the ITS Information Security Engineering and Operations (ITSIS) team.
What You'll Do
The Senior IT Assistant will be responsible for implementing threat management solutions and developing AI applications to support security operations, including:
- Planning and executing threat management solutions using a data-driven and Agile approach
- Continuously identifying and implementing tools and infrastructure to enhance the threat management program
- Developing scripts, tools, and methodologies to strengthen security operations
- Building applications and APIs using Python, Power Platform, SharePoint Online and Data Modeling capabilities
- Employing Python for backend and technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript for front-end development
- Designing and managing Azure cloud infrastructure for scalable applications and services
- Utilizing OpenAI's GPT models via Azure, including fine-tuning, deploying, and scaling
- Integrating AI/ML models using OpenAI and other AI frameworks into applications
- Creating RESTful APIs and integrating third-party APIs securely
- Building and maintaining applications using Power Platform, Power Automate, and Power BI
- Implementing security best practices to protect data and comply with regulations
Key Responsibilities
- Threat Management Implementation: Plan and execute threat management solutions, identify and implement necessary tools, and develop scripts to strengthen security operations.
- Application Development: Develop applications using Python, Power Platform, and integrate AI/ML models to enhance application intelligence and functionality.
- Security Research: Continuously research and document newly onboarded enterprise technologies and data sources to identify new artifacts and analytical methodologies for detecting cyber threats.
- Knowledge Sharing: Leverage operational results to identify, communicate, and mitigate threats, and implement knowledge sharing across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, systems engineering, or a related field
- Direct experience working with large datasets and log analysis tools (SIEM, EDR, Python, PowerShell)
- Knowledge of enterprise environments, network protocols, network devices, operating systems, and cloud environments
- Experience using Splunk's Search Processing Language (SPL) and Microsoft's Kusto Query Language (KQL)
- Familiarity with common enterprise scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure (Azure WebApp, Azure functions, Azure OpenAI, APIM, Azure SQL Database, Azure Blob Storage)
- Experience with Azure's OpenAI technologies and machine learning frameworks
- Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React or Angular)
- Experience in database management (SQL and NoSQL)
- Experience in analyzing various log formats from different sources
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies for security operations and threat hunting
Preferred Qualifications:
- GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA) or GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH)
