Buzz Women

Founded in 2012,Buzz Women works to strengthen women’s economic and personal agency through doorstep learning, peer networks, and capability-building programmes. Operating across 13 districts in Karnataka and expanding globally to The Gambia, Georgia, Tanzania, and Ukraine, the organisation delivers context-specific interventions rooted in the 5 Cs—Cash, Care, Climate, Community, and Confidence. With a network of over 16,700 volunteer Community Anchors and programmes that have reached more than 7,50,000 women, Buzz Women focuses on multi-dimensional poverty, leadership development, and community-driven change.

Role

Buzz Women is seeking a Zonal Manager to oversee programme delivery across assigned districts in Karnataka. You will lead zonal operations, support district teams, ensure programme quality, and drive effective implementation of Buzz Women’s training and empowerment initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organise, and implement zonal-level programmes in alignment with organisational goals.
  • Conduct weekly reviews to improve performance of Operations Managers and district teams.
  • Oversee timely and accurate collection of quality data for monitoring and evaluation.
  • Manage programme resources and ensure efficient utilisation across districts.
  • Maintain clear documentation and ensure timely submission of monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Build strong relationships with district teams, officials, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Lead, motivate, and support district-level teams to achieve programme goals.
  • Provide training, guidance, and capacity-building support to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Ensure adequate infrastructure and resources for smooth programme delivery.
  • Facilitate effective communication and alignment between field teams and leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with project plans, reporting requirements, and organisational standards.
  • Support the Program Manager in developing new initiatives and strategic priorities.

Requirements

  • Strong commitment to women’s empowerment and micro-entrepreneurship.
  • 7–10 years of proven experience in programme and team management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale interventions with measurable impact.
  • Hands-on experience in operations management and field-based implementation.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate challenges into practical actions.
  • Graduate or Postgraduate degree.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Kannada.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and lead multiple teams.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within assigned districts.
