Established in 2007, Educate Girls is a non-profit organisation that focuses on mobilising communities to improve education for girls in rural and educationally backward areas of India. Their scalable, replicable, and sustainable program model is built on the foundation of the Right to Education Act.

- Operating in over 24,000 schools and 18,000 villages across Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar.

Project Pragati
In the next 10 years, Educate Girls aims to implement Project Pragati, a second-chance education initiative for adolescent girls and young women. The project seeks to support 10th-grade credentialing and provide better life opportunities for girls who dropped out of formal schooling. The goal is to transform the lives of 10 million girls over the next decade.
About the Role
The Data Analyst will play a critical role in supporting data-driven decision-making at Educate Girls. The role focuses on analysing primary and secondary data sources, enabling quick insights, and supporting program success for both the Pragati and Vidya projects.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Management
- Interpret data, analyse trends, and generate actionable insights using advanced data techniques.
- Design efficient processes for extracting and cleaning data from primary and secondary sources.
- Produce high-quality analytical reports on key outcomes like enrolment, retention, and learning.
- Conduct regular data quality assessments through pattern and outlier analysis.
- Develop dashboards to monitor performance and quality of program delivery.
- Handle ad hoc data requests, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
Program and Data Monitoring
- Develop and manage dashboards for the Pragati and Vidya projects using tools like Looker Studio, PBI, Tableau, etc.
- Track the performance of Pragati cohorts across multiple states and districts, ensuring timely data monitoring through automation and technology.
- Monitor and report on programmatic activities, including classroom observations and training outcomes.
- Design surveys on digital platforms and track the progress of training and certifications.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as data analytics or a related discipline.
Experience
- 3-4 years of experience in data analytics, visualisation, and management.
- Proficiency in SQL programming, preferably with PostgreSQL.
- Experience in writing analytical reports and designing dashboards.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in data visualisation tools like Looker Studio, PBI, Tableau.
- Strong skills in Excel, SQL, and PowerPoint.
- Python knowledge is desirable.
Other Skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Hindi.
- Willingness to travel up to 15-20% of the time as required.
