About The Role
We are looking for an experienced IT and Systems Head to lead our Trust’s technology strategy and oversee all hardware and software systems across our healthcare facilities. This role will be critical in aligning IT solutions with our mission, ensuring efficient operations, and advancing our digital transformation goals.
Key Responsibilities
IT Strategy and Leadership:
- Develop and implement IT strategies to support healthcare and outreach programs.
- Manage internal and external IT teams, ensuring seamless operations.
- Ensure IT systems align with the Trust’s mission of providing quality healthcare to underserved communities.
Infrastructure Management:
- Oversee hardware, software, and network systems across facilities.
- Ensure secure, reliable, and scalable IT infrastructure, including hospital management software and cloud-based systems.
- Manage upgrades, repairs, and replacements of IT systems.
Data Management and Security:
- Ensure compliance with data protection laws and standards for hospital data systems.
- Secure use of patient information systems and data analytics tools.
- Oversee backup, recovery, and disaster recovery protocols.
Coordination with External Agencies:
- Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and service providers for optimal third-party applications and services.
- Ensure seamless IT integration with external agencies and healthcare databases.
User Support and Training:
- Provide IT support and troubleshooting for hospital staff and clinicians.
- Lead training sessions on IT systems and new technologies for staff.
System Upgrades and Digital Transformation:
- Lead digital transformation initiatives like telemedicine, electronic health records, and automated patient management systems.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to improve hospital operations.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with healthcare IT regulations, including data privacy laws.
- Prepare reports on key IT metrics for senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of IT management experience, especially in healthcare IT systems.
- Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure, including networks and security.
- Experience with healthcare software systems like hospital management or patient record systems.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud-based systems and telemedicine platforms.
- Knowledge of healthcare IT compliance and patient data protection.
- Familiarity with healthcare ERP systems.
- Certification in IT management (e.g., CISSP, ITIL) is a plus.
