Role
The Master Trainer - Self Employment will design, deliver, and monitor entrepreneurship and self-employment training for youth, women, and aspiring entrepreneurs from marginalized communities. The role combines classroom training with ongoing mentoring, business support, and linkages to financial services and government schemes.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver entrepreneurship and self-employment training covering business planning, financial literacy, enterprise management, digital marketing, market analysis, and customer service through practical exercises, business simulations, and case-study-based learning.
- Build participants' entrepreneurial mindset, leadership, problem-solving, life skills, and risk management abilities alongside training on bookkeeping and cash-flow management.
- Provide ongoing mentoring and coaching to aspiring entrepreneurs; guide participants through enterprise registration, licensing, compliance, and business formalization; support business planning, inventory management, pricing, and day-to-day record-keeping.
- Facilitate connections with banks, microfinance institutions, Self Help Groups (SHGs), and financial service providers; help participants access government self-employment schemes and develop viable business plans and growth strategies.
- Conduct regular follow-up visits and post-training handholding support; prepare progress reports, success stories, case studies, and impact documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Commerce, Economics, Rural Development, Social Work, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Certification in Entrepreneurship Development, Livelihood Promotion, or Training of Trainers (ToT) is an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in entrepreneurship development, livelihoods, micro-enterprise promotion, or self-employment programmes.
- Experience working with youth, women entrepreneurs, SHGs, and marginalized communities is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of entrepreneurship, small business management, financial literacy, and enterprise planning.
- Good facilitation, coaching, mentoring, and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with government livelihood and entrepreneurship schemes, market systems, and value chains.
- Strong networking, stakeholder engagement, reporting, and documentation skills
