TinkerHub is a non-profit building Kerala's largest maker ecosystem, a place where students and young professionals learn together, build ambitious things, and solve real-world problems through community. Role
The Operations Lead will run the systems that keep TinkerHub working smoothly, from finances and compliance to events and internal processes. You will work closely with the core team to fix operational gaps, improve workflows, and build simple systems that help the community grow without breaking.
Responsibilities
- Run financial operations: process transactions, manage bills and reimbursements, keep accurate records, and set up clean payment and approval workflows.
- Plan and execute TinkerHub events of all sizes, manage vendors and procurement, and create templates and checklists that make events repeatable.
- Track regulatory deadlines, keep records organized, and coordinate with the CA and legal advisors on compliance matters.
- Build genuine relationships with donors, manage donor records, and prepare clear impact reports.
- Develop standard operating procedures, tools, and templates that scale as the community grows.
- Spot issues early, fix them, and keep the team informed.
Requirements
- Fresh graduate or early-career professional with 0 to 2 years of experience. Backlogs or academic gaps are not a barrier.
- Love for process, structure, and building systems that work.
- Comfort with spreadsheets, databases, and project management tools.
- Strong attention to detail, especially with finances and deadlines.
- Ability to think ahead, flag issues early, and act without waiting to be told.
- Clear communication skills for working with vendors, donors, founders, and teammates.
- Ability to juggle finance, operations, compliance, and relationships at the same time.
- Hands-on experience organizing campus events or student bodies is a plus.
- Background in finance, accounting, or operations is a plus.
- Experience in donor relations or fundraising is a plus.
