Prosperiti builds state capacity to increase economic freedom in India, with a focus on catalysing 1991-like reforms at the state level. Our mission is to help entrepreneurs create more jobs and enable workers to earn more by identifying key regulatory challenges, building consensus for reforms, and supporting their implementation.
We work with state governments to produce insights, release State of Regulation reports, and support regulatory reforms in labour and building regulations.
Key Projects
- Punjab: Assisted with labour rules and building regulation standards.
- Uttar Pradesh: Supporting labour reforms in the Factories Act, Shops Act, and Contract Labour Acts.
- Tamil Nadu: Worked on a chapter for MSME ease of doing business.
- National Engagements: Provided insights to the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Finance.
About the Role
As a Senior Analyst, you will support state governments in implementing Prosperiti's reform recommendations. This includes analysing regulations, writing policy papers, and building strong relationships with government officials.
Location: Delhi (with travel to partner states)
Compensation: Commensurate with experience

Responsibilities
- Regulatory Analysis: Evaluate laws from various perspectives (economics, political science, etc.) and identify best practices across states.
- Data Analysis: Work with government data and conduct primary interviews.
- Policy Writing: Produce error-free, concise reports, policy notes, and articles.
- Government Engagement: Build partnerships and assist officials in identifying impactful reforms.
- Relationship Management: Build and manage relationships with government and non-government stakeholders.
- Stay Updated: Monitor administrative and political developments to inform policy recommendations.
- Collaboration: Work with advocacy organisations and present Prosperiti’s recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s in Economics, Law, Political Science, Public Policy, or related fields.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in consulting, law, or government.
- Strong communication and persuasion skills.
- Proficiency in English and Hindi; knowledge of a regional language is a plus.
- Experience engaging with government officials is desirable.
- Strong writing, analytical, and project management skills.
- Familiarity with public administration, law, and economics in India.
- Comfortable with coding, data analysis (Python, LaTex), and cloud tools.
- Flexible, responsive, and eager to learn.
