About The Role:
Position: Senior Data/Business Analyst
Location: Shillong, Meghalaya
Experience: 10+ years as a Project, Data, or Business Analyst with 2-5 years of experience in supervisory role
Qualification: Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field
Main Responsibilities:
Data Collection and Preparation:
- Gather and collect data from multiple sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Cleanse, transform, and format data for consistency and usability.
- Develop and maintain data acquisition processes and quality assurance protocols.
Data Analysis and Interpretation:
- Apply statistical techniques to analyze large datasets.
- Identify trends, correlations, and insights that drive business decisions.
- Use advanced analytics like predictive modeling to support organizational goals.
Data Visualization and Reporting:
- Design visually engaging reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Communicate complex data findings clearly to various stakeholders.
- Develop interactive visualizations to enhance data understanding.
Business Intelligence and Decision Support:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Provide data-driven recommendations and conduct ad-hoc analyses.
- Track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve operations.
Data Governance and Compliance:
- Ensure data privacy and security, adhering to relevant regulations.
- Establish and maintain data governance frameworks.
- Document data processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with best practices.
- Travel to project sites for data collection and management if necessary.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in Data/Business Analysis or related roles, with 2-5 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Python, R, SQL) and visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI, Excel).
- Knowledge of forestry, agriculture, or horticulture data is preferred.
- Ability to communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with data governance and machine learning concepts is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
