Language and Learning Foundation (LLF) is a New Delhi-based non-profit that works to improve learning outcomes for children across India. Over 8 years, LLF has strengthened foundational literacy and language skills for 8,50,000+ children and supported 2,50,000+ teachers across 8 states through teacher training, knowledge building, and close partnership with state governments.
Role
LLF is looking for a Senior Manager to lead its fundraising and partnership work. You will build relationships with donors, identify new funding opportunities, manage the full fundraising process from start to finish, and help tell LLF's story in a way that moves people to support its mission.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of fundraising opportunities across institutional donors, CSR partners, foundations, and individual philanthropists.
- Identify and research new donors and prospects including foreign foundations, corporates, multilateral agencies, and high-net-worth individuals.
- Lead outreach and build relationships with potential donors through meetings, calls, and presentations.
- Own the full fundraising cycle for assigned donors, from initial mapping and conversations through proposals, negotiations, and renewals.
- Coordinate with program teams to write strong proposals, concept notes, and donor reports on time.
- Manage existing donor relationships to ensure satisfaction, handle their queries, and support renewals and extensions.
- Create and review donor-facing materials such as pitch decks, brochures, case studies, and annual reports.
- Represent LLF at conferences, forums, and CSR platforms to grow its network and visibility.
- Support and guide junior team members working on research, writing, and documentation.
- Help improve internal fundraising systems, trackers, and donor records.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- 9 to 12 years of experience in fundraising, partnerships, or business development.
- Proven track record of closing high-value grants or partnerships with institutional donors end to end.
- Strong skills in writing proposals, reports, and donor communications.
- Ability to lead donor conversations and manage relationships independently.
- Good at research, spotting opportunities, and tracking progress against goals.
- Comfortable working across teams and managing multiple tasks at the same time.
- Experience with social media or digital outreach for fundraising is a plus.
- Willing to travel for donor meetings, conferences, and partner events when needed.
