About

ADRA India is the country arm of a global humanitarian network active in more than 107 countries, working under the Seventh-day Adventist Church's development and relief mandate. Registered in India as a Society in 1992, the organisation has spent close to thirty years implementing humanitarian and development projects for the most vulnerable communities in the country, focusing on public healthcare, education, livelihood generation, emergency response, and protection of vulnerable groups. It works by partnering with local communities, organisations, and governments to deliver culturally relevant, sustainable programmes. The organisation is headquartered in Gurugram, Haryana.

  • InCRIS (Integrated Climate Resilience and Information System): Works with government institutions at the national, state, and local level to strengthen planning, coordination, and decision-making around heat risk, moving beyond emergency response toward proactive heat action.

  • Zero Dose CSO Engagement Initiative (Uttar Pradesh): A district and block-level immunisation outreach programme aimed at reaching children who have missed routine vaccinations.

  • Anticipatory Heatwave Response: A proactive response plan activated ahead of extreme heat events to protect at-risk communities in advance rather than after the fact.

  • Corporate Partnerships: Collaborations with businesses to channel CSR resources into ADRA's development and relief work.
