Pawzz Foundation

Pawzz Foundation is a Gurgaon-based animal welfare organisation dedicated to the cause of stray animal rescue, feeding, adoption, and awareness. The organisation traces its roots back 20 years, when one family began working for the welfare of street animals by feeding, neutering/spaying, providing medical assistance, and rescuing and rehabilitating them. Realising the need to formalize their animal welfare initiative and connect feeders and animal lovers globally for larger impact, the family founded Pawzz. Not government-funded, Pawzz functions entirely on donations, driven by a passionate community committed to spreading kindness and building awareness around the rights and needs of stray animals.

Major Areas of Work

• Adoptions: Making the adoption of Indian desi dogs (Indies) the norm rather than the exception, championing the #adoptdontshop movement.

• Hunger Drive Campaign: Feeding street dogs and animals who face starvation on their own, with Pawzz currently feeding 100+ dogs daily and working to streamline dog feeding systems in Gurgaon.

• Rescue Work: Rescuing and providing medical treatment for ill or injured animals who have no chance of survival on the street.

• Shelter: Providing permanent shelter to 10 dogs and temporary shelter to countless other strays.

• Awareness and Education: Increasing awareness about the rights, needs, and dignity of stray animals as sentient creatures.

• Fostering & Rehoming: Connecting stray and rescued animals with foster and forever families.

• Virtual Parent Program: Allowing supporters to virtually sponsor and support an animal's care without physical adoption.

• Mass & Individual Campaigns: Coordinated fundraising and awareness campaigns for large-scale feeding drives and individual animal rescues.

• Missing Pets Network: A dedicated platform helping reunite lost pets with their families.

• Spay & Neuter Drives: On-ground sterilization campaigns to manage and improve the welfare of the street animal population.

Impact

Pawzz feeds over 100 dogs daily and provides permanent shelter to 10 dogs, with countless temporary shelters extended to other strays. The organisation coordinates desi dog adoptions, mass dog feeding campaigns, spay and neuter drives, and on-ground rescue work across Gurgaon, sustained entirely through donations from its community of supporters.
