About

Sajhe Sapne is a non-profit organisation building a future where young rural women have the opportunity to learn, earn, and build long-term careers. Through its क़ाबिल कमाऊ कामयाब अभियान, the organisation is creating pathways for rural women to become capable, financially independent, and successful by launching careers rather than limiting them to traditional livelihoods.

Founded by Surabhi Yadav (IIT Delhi, UC Berkeley), Sajhe Sapne began with a simple question: How can pursuing a career after Class 12 become the norm for young women in villages? What started as a small experiment in Himachal Pradesh has grown into an organisation supporting young women across India to build careers in technology, education, entrepreneurship, and the social sector.

Today, Sajhe Sapne is building district-level ecosystems in Madhya Pradesh through Sapna Centers, government partnerships, employers, and local communities. Its Sapna Centers function as an alternate rural college model, offering a year-long Mini-MBA that develops entrepreneurial thinking, technical skills, confidence, and problem-solving abilities in local languages.

The organisation also works closely with employers through public-private partnerships to connect trained Sapnewaalis with meaningful employment opportunities, supporting both talent onboarding and long-term career growth.

Mission

By 2030, Sajhe Sapne aims to ensure that 20% of Class 12-pass young women living in villages in Madhya Pradesh are learning and earning steadily for at least one year after completing school.
