SHAPE India

SHAPE India, formally the Society & Humanitarian Action for Promoting Education in India, is a Delhi based non-profit registered in 2001, working to improve the quality of life of underprivileged communities through health, education, and skill development. The organisation works across New Delhi, Mumbai, and Punjab on programmes covering HIV and AIDS prevention, youth skilling, women's empowerment, and child welfare, with a particular focus on high risk and marginalised groups.

Major Areas of Work

• Health and HIV Prevention: Targeted intervention programmes for high risk groups, including sex workers, transgender persons, and injecting drug users.

Impact

SHAPE India reports having benefited over 5,000 youth through skill based training programmes, empowered more than 15,000 women, and reached over 18,000 people through its HIV intervention programmes. It has also fed more than 30,000 children and 6,000 pregnant and lactating mothers through its nutrition initiatives, supported by a base of over 10,000 volunteers.
