SwitchON Foundation (registered as Environment Conservation Society) was established in 2008 to serve as a catalyst for the adoption of sustainable technologies and practices, working at the intersection of climate-resilient agriculture, clean energy, green livelihoods, and skills. With a dedicated team of 175+ members, SwitchON operates across 8 states in India, empowering communities with climate-smart solutions.

• Rural Women Entrepreneurs (RWE): Enabling rural women to build climate-smart enterprises through skills, finance access, leadership training, and market linkages.

• Greenovation Challenge: Supporting India's green innovators in scaling solutions that create jobs and restore ecosystems.

• Low Carbon Steel: Working with MSME steel units to cut emissions and energy use through efficiency, renewables, and green finance.

• Sustainable Mobility: Strengthening public transport systems and active travel to reduce urban emissions equitably.

• Move for Earth Symposium & Mumbai Climate Week: Flagship convenings bringing together farmers, FPOs, ethical brands, cooperatives, and global buyers to build fair, regenerative food markets.

Impact

SwitchON Foundation has empowered and reached over 100,000 farmers, enabled 88 FPOs and agri clusters, and supported 2,500+ rural women entrepreneurs. The organisation has placed over 2,000 youth into green careers, built 100+ collaboration partnerships, and initiated 4 sector networks. SwitchON is Great Place to Work Certified and has received numerous accolades including the ICC Social Impact Award, SEED Award 2015 (UNDP & UNEP), the Analyst Impact Fund 2020 (Goldman Sachs), MSME of the Year 2023-24 for Sustainability, and the Pacesetter Award 2017 (MNRE & US Embassy).
