About

The Amical Foundation is a community development organisation that designs and delivers CSR projects on behalf of companies, working across health, education, livelihood, skill development and environment. It was founded in 2015 and formally registered in 2023, and describes its work as spanning more than ten years. Its stated approach is to align CSR spending with a company's own business operations while engaging local stakeholders in the process, so that the same project creates value for the company and the community. The organisation frames its thematic pillars as a route to holistic development rather than isolated interventions, targeting the root causes of poverty through human capability, economic stability and ecological health. It is registered under the Indian Trust Act 1882, holds tax exemption under Sections 354 and 332 of the Indian Finance Act 2025 (formerly 80G and 12A), and carries MCA CSR registration, ISO 9001:2015 certification, DARPAN registration and UDYAM registration.

Headquarters: Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, India

Major Areas of Work

  • Health: Strengthening public health infrastructure through schools, Anganwadis and Primary Health Centres, including screening camps, clean drinking water, sanitation and nutrition support.

  • Education: Upgrading government schools with infrastructure, digital classrooms, foundational literacy and numeracy, life skills and teacher training.

  • Livelihood: Building pathways to financial independence through vocational training, agricultural support, market linkage and enterprise creation.

  • Environment: Climate resilience work covering sustainable farming, afforestation, waste management and water conservation.

  • Skill Development: Market-aligned training designed to move young people and rural workers into employment or self-employment.

Major Initiatives and Programmes

  • Health camps and PHC strengthening: Regular camps deliver medical screening, early disease detection and specialised care directly to underserved communities, alongside equipping PHCs, schools and Anganwadis.

  • Nutritional support: Targeted nutrition for children, pregnant women and lactating mothers during critical developmental stages, aimed at reducing malnutrition.

  • SMART classrooms and teacher training: Interactive digital tools installed in government schools, paired with continuing teacher training in modern teaching methods.

  • Micro-credit and enterprise mentorship: Seed funding, micro-credit and ongoing mentorship for aspiring local business owners, run alongside job-readiness training.

  • Miyawaki plantations and water conservation: Dense native forest plots to counter urban heat and restore biodiversity, plus rainwater harvesting and pond restoration for long-term water security.

The livelihood model is the organisation's most developed line of work. It combines formal job readiness with grassroots business creation, delivering vocational training matched to current market demand, supplying farmers with climate-resilient techniques, better tools and direct market access, and financing new local enterprises. The stated intent is to break generational poverty by giving a community more than one route to income rather than a single training programme.

This is implementation work close to the ground, in government schools, Anganwadis and Primary Health Centres across Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. Because the organisation runs projects funded by corporate CSR budgets, staff get exposure to both sides of the CSR chain, the company relationship and the village-level delivery, including compliance, reporting and measurement of shared value. It suits people who want breadth across health, education, livelihood and environment rather than a single specialism, and who are comfortable working with district officials, local stakeholders and corporate funders in the same week.
