The Hans Foundation
About
The Hans Foundation (THF) is one of India's leading philanthropic organisations dedicated to improving the quality of life of underserved communities through integrated interventions in health, education, disability inclusion, livelihoods, and humanitarian response. Established in 2009 by philanthropist Manoj Bhargava and Chairperson Shweta Rawat, THF is a Public Charitable Trust committed to creating equitable access to essential services for vulnerable populations across India.
Initially focused on supporting grassroots NGOs through grant-making, The Hans Foundation has evolved into a large-scale implementing organisation that works directly with state governments, healthcare institutions, local communities, and civil society organisations. Through strategic partnerships and evidence-based programmes, THF delivers sustainable, community-driven solutions that improve health outcomes, strengthen education systems, promote economic empowerment, and support inclusive development.
With operations spanning 23 states and over 130 districts, the organisation reaches some of India's most remote and underserved regions. Its multidisciplinary teams work closely with governments, hospitals, community organisations, and local stakeholders to strengthen public service delivery and improve long-term social outcomes.
