About
The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is one of the world's leading environmental non-profit organisations, working to create a future where people and nature thrive together. Founded in the United States in 1951 through grassroots action, TNC has grown into a global conservation organisation dedicated to conserving the lands and waters on which all life depends.
With the support of more than one million members, a diverse global workforce, and over 400 scientists, TNC operates in 79 countries and territories, driving conservation directly in 37 countries and through partnerships in 42 more. The organisation combines science, innovation, collaboration, and community engagement to tackle global challenges including climate change, biodiversity loss, freshwater conservation, sustainable agriculture, and ocean protection.

TNC works alongside governments, Indigenous communities, businesses, local organisations, and policymakers to develop practical, science-based solutions that protect ecosystems while improving people's lives. Its conservation efforts focus on restoring forests, protecting oceans and freshwater resources, advancing regenerative agriculture, conserving wildlife habitats, and building climate resilience for communities around the world.
