Role
SOS Children's Villages of India is looking for an IT Cum Soft Skills Trainer to teach computer and life skills to youth at its Vocational Training Centres in Raipur and Pune. You will train students in IT courses, help them prepare for jobs, and guide them through the process of getting placed with employers.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality training in IT and soft skills as per the set schedule and curriculum
- Conduct training in Web Designing, Java, Python, Digital Marketing, and Data Entry
- Teach life skills including basic English, customer service, financial literacy, grooming, and communication
- Design and update training materials, manuals, and digital resources based on learner needs
- Support students with hands-on practice and make sure concepts are clearly understood
- Maintain daily attendance records, module logs, and classroom displays as required
- Guide and mentor trainees individually and in groups throughout the program
- Manage the evaluation and certification process at the end of each training batch
- Source new trainees through schools, employment exchanges, door-to-door outreach, and community mobilisation
- Prepare CVs for trainees and help connect them with potential employers
- Support trainees after placement to ensure they settle well in their new roles
- Ensure computer labs and IT equipment are used properly and kept in good condition
- Create a safe, inclusive, and learner-friendly classroom environment
- Submit timely reports, success stories, and updates as required
Requirements
- Graduate in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- Certification in Web Designing, Java, Python, Digital Marketing, or computer applications is preferred
- 3 or more years of experience as a trainer; freshers with strong skills may also be considered
- Able to teach both technical IT topics and soft skills effectively
- Good communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills
- Familiar with sourcing and mobilising trainees from communities
- Comfortable working in a structured, target-driven environment
- Willingness to work in Raipur or Pune on a full-time contractual basis
