This role sits within Pratham's vocational training work, which teaches young people job skills and helps them find employment.

Role

As Beauty Academic In-charge, you will lead beauty training for students at a Pratham centre in Mumbai. You will teach the course, connect students with real parlours and industry training, and help them take their first steps into paid work. You will also keep the centre's training quality high and its records in good order, both in the classroom and in virtual sessions.

Responsibilities

• Train students in beauty skills using the curriculum Pratham provides.
• Take virtual sessions and stay connected with students and team members online.
• Arrange guest lectures for students.
• Organise visits to local parlours so students see real work settings.
• Arrange industrial training for students during the course.
• Counsel students about placements and support them after they start work.
• Maintain the quality of training at the centre.
• Keep reports on the equipment and products used during training.
• Maintain the centre's academic Excel sheet.

Requirements

• Diploma or certification in a beauty course.
• 3 years of experience in the beauty field and in teaching.
• Completed 12th standard or a graduate degree.
• Experience in, or a strong interest in, training and teaching.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and the internet.
• Comfort using Zoom and Google Meet for virtual sessions.
• Good communication skills.
• Fluency in English, Hindi and the regional language.
• Willingness to travel regularly.
