Youth For Seva (YFS)
Youth For Seva is a pan-India, volunteer-driven organisation that helps people give their time, skills and resources to work that matters. It connects everyday volunteers with grassroots organisations and community initiatives so that both sides gain. Its work spans education, healthcare, community development, livelihoods and rural development. Over the years it has built a network of Seva Kendras and partner organisations that give volunteers a real place to serve. This role sits within YFS's volunteer management function, which brings new volunteers in, keeps them engaged and creates the opportunities they serve through.

Role
As Cluster Coordinator, you will look after volunteer engagement across the Indiranagar and Yelahanka clusters in Bengaluru. You will welcome new volunteers, understand what they care about, and match them with Seva Kendras, NGOs, schools and hospitals where their time will count. Much of the work is on the ground and face to face, building trust with volunteers and partner organisations so that the network keeps growing and stays active.
Responsibilities
- Connect with new volunteers and guide them through orientation and onboarding.
- Match volunteers with projects and Seva Kendras that suit their interests and availability.
- Build strong relationships with existing volunteers so they stay engaged over time.
- Identify new volunteering opportunities with NGOs, schools, hospitals and other organisations in the assigned clusters.
- Develop these opportunities into ongoing partnerships that volunteers can join.
- Maintain and update volunteer records, engagement status and project information.
- Plan volunteer engagement and development initiatives in line with YFS programmes.
- Organise and support volunteer events, activities and community initiatives.
- Coordinate field-level activities across the clusters.
- Engage regularly with volunteers and partner organisations in person.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- A BSW, MSW or related qualification is an advantage.
- 1 to 2 years of work experience.
- Experience in volunteer management, community engagement or the social sector is preferred.
- Proficiency in English and Kannada is preferred.
- Knowledge of Hindi or other regional languages is an added advantage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence in reaching out to people and starting conversations.
- Good organisational and coordination skills.
- Ability to build and hold long-term relationships.
- Comfort with MS Office, Google Workspace, email and other basic digital tools.
- Ability to organise events and handle several activities at the same time.
- Willingness to travel across the Indiranagar and Yelahanka clusters for field work.
- Genuine interest in social impact and working with communities.
