The organisation is building its digital presence to strengthen how it connects with communities, donors, and supporters.

Role

Children of India Foundation is looking for a Communications and Digital Media Intern to help strengthen its online presence. You will manage the website, create content for social media, and support the organisation's branding and communication efforts, gaining hands-on experience across digital storytelling, campaigns, and donor engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and regularly update the website with programme updates, news, reports, and events
  • Support website design improvements and user experience updates
  • Keep website content accurate, appealing, and aligned with branding guidelines
  • Manage social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube, publishing at least 20 to 25 posts per month
  • Create graphics, posters, reels, short videos, and other social media creatives
  • Write engaging captions and social media posts to grow audience engagement
  • Track social media performance and prepare a monthly analytics report on reach and engagement
  • Research digital trends and suggest new ideas to improve online engagement
  • Write, edit, and publish at least 2 blog articles per month
  • Apply basic SEO practices to improve visibility of website and blog content
  • Keep branding, messaging, and visual identity consistent across all platforms
  • Support communication for campaigns, events, and fundraising initiatives
  • Support other communication and digital tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Digital Media, Marketing, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Computer Applications, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of website platforms like WordPress or similar CMS tools
  • Familiarity with design tools like Canva, Adobe Express, Photoshop, or Illustrator
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS is a plus
  • Knowledge of social media management tools and analytics
  • Familiarity with SEO principles and blog management
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate with different teams
  • Creativity and attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Willingness to take occasional field visits for content and documentation
  • Hybrid, Bengaluru (in-office at least once a week, remaining work remote)
