Bhumika Women's Collective is a non-profit organisation based in Hyderabad that works for the empowerment of women and young people. It stands with women facing violence and helps women and young people gain the skills and confidence to shape their own lives. This role sits within Bhumika Women's Collective's Skill Development Centre, which runs in Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Rampachodavaram and teaches practical skills that open doors to further study and work.

Role

As a Computer Skills Trainer, you will help women and young people learn to use a computer with confidence, from writing a document in MS Word to sending an email and searching the internet. Your sessions will be hands-on, so trainees learn by doing and leave with skills they can use in their studies and when looking for work. You will also keep track of how each trainee is doing and make sure no one falls behind.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular computer skills training sessions for trainees at the centre.
• Teach MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint through hands-on practice.
• Teach trainees to use the internet, email and other basic digital tools.
• Plan practical, activity-based sessions so trainees learn by doing.
• Prepare practical exercises and learning materials for each session.
• Monitor each trainee's progress and maintain attendance records.
• Help trainees build computer skills they can use for further study and to find work.

Requirements

• A graduate degree with a computer-related qualification or a relevant computer certification.
• Good working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Comfort with using the internet, email and basic digital tools.
• The ability to run practical, activity-based training sessions.
• Previous teaching or training experience is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to work from one of the three centres, in Hyderabad in Telangana or in Vijayawada or Rampachodavaram in Andhra Pradesh.
