This role sits within the Technology Services team at Rotary International Infotech in Pune, Rotary's technology centre, which supports the IT needs of Rotary's headquarters in Chicago, USA.

Role

As DevOps Administrator, you will keep Rotary's websites and web applications safe, secure and running well for members across the world. You will automate how code is built, tested and released, look after cloud systems on Azure and Oracle Cloud, and step in quickly to fix problems when they come up. You will work closely with developers, testers and operations staff, and help the team take up better tools and ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Automate the setup and configuration of Azure infrastructure using Terraform, and manage environments from development and testing through to staging and production.
• Design, build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and TeamCity, and fix failed builds and deployments together with developers and testers.
• Manage all releases, including daily builds to QA, maintenance and emergency releases, patches and new project launches.
• Run version control on Git, GitHub and Bitbucket, including repositories, user groups, branching and release snapshots.
• Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters with Helm charts, and maintain application servers such as IIS, Apache and Nginx.
• Monitor system health with tools like DataDog, SolarWinds and Rapid7, scan for security gaps, apply patches, manage access controls and automate SSL certificate renewals.
• Respond to production issues as part of on-call rotations, and keep resource use, scaling and running costs in check.
• Write clear documentation, train teammates on DevOps tools, and test new tools through proof of concepts.

Requirements

• A graduate or postgraduate degree in any field with a background in DevOps and software development, with a BE, MCA or M.Sc. in Computer Science preferred.
• 3-5 years of work experience in DevOps or infrastructure, test automation and software development.
• A mandatory AZ-900 or AZ-104 Microsoft Azure certification.
• Solid experience with Azure and Oracle Cloud, Windows and Linux administration, and networking basics such as DNS, load balancing, firewalls, WAFs and VPNs.
• Hands-on skill with Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, TeamCity, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git and Bitbucket, along with scripting in Python, PowerShell or Bash.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence and ServiceNow, and with working in Agile teams using Scrum or Kanban.
• Clear written and spoken communication, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to explain technical ideas in plain language.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Pune, and open to working US hours on rotational shifts across a 24x5 schedule, handling emergency changes and off-hour issues, and travelling when needed.
