Role

The Consultant – MIS Officer will conduct data collection, verification, and cleaning in coordination with the program team, support field staff on using M&E tools and online platforms, analyze data to produce high-quality reports, and maintain indicator tracking tools to demonstrate the effectiveness of project interventions across the ECCE programme.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct data collection with program staff by sharing relevant forms or templates, and support efficient use of M&E tools
  • Directly support field staff on using online platforms and M&E tools/templates for data collection
  • Conduct regular M&E skill sharing sessions with staff and the project team
  • Conduct data verifications and cleaning together with the data collection team
  • Analyze data and produce high-quality reports highlighting key findings, trends, and recommendations
  • Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual reports for the funder
  • Initiate and coordinate surveys, assessments, and studies, ensuring data readiness for analysis
  • Work in close coordination with ICDS stakeholders to ensure collected data aligns with centre-maintained data
  • Maintain existing indicator tracking tools and develop additional databases as needed
  • Generate indicator reports for tracking progress against key indicators

Requirements

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Social Sciences, Social Work, Statistics, or Population Studies
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Monitoring & Evaluation role in the development sector
  • Experience in data processing and management of large-scale datasets
  • Proficient in advanced MS tools including Excel, spreadsheets, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Team player with an orientation to play a supportive role
  • Proficiency in English and Telugu (reading, speaking, writing); Hindi preferable
  • Willingness to travel to the field at least 8 days a month for data validation and support
