Kotak Education Foundation (KEF) is a Mumbai-based nonprofit set up in 2007 as the CSR implementing arm of Kotak Mahindra Group. For nearly two decades, KEF has worked to improve education outcomes for children and youth from low-income families. Its work spans foundational literacy and numeracy, teacher capacity building, school leadership, digital learning, and scholarships. KEF works closely with state governments across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, and Goa, and is driving district and state-level education transformation at scale.
Role
This is a one-year consultancy role based in Gujarat. You will design and deliver training programmes for teachers, school leaders, and government stakeholders, while managing the operational and financial aspects of programme implementation across your assigned locations.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging training programmes for teachers, headmasters, and government stakeholders across multiple locations in Gujarat
- Conduct large-group training sessions for a range of participants in different geographic areas
- Work with subject matter experts to ensure training content is current, relevant, and aligned with educational standards
- Coordinate and oversee the planning and execution of both in-house and external training programmes
- Assess training needs, identify gaps, and tailor programmes to address them in collaboration with internal teams
- Lead the development and refinement of training modules and materials, keeping them aligned with current educational trends and research
- Bring in innovative teaching methods and technology-based learning approaches into the training curriculum
- Develop and apply monitoring and evaluation systems to measure the impact of training programmes
- Analyse data and participant feedback to continuously improve training content and delivery
- Conduct training and classroom observations across locations and use findings to strengthen programme quality
- Manage the programme budget, track expenses, ensure responsible use of funds, and follow organisational compliance processes
- Implement activities within approved project budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in training design, delivery, and operations, preferably in an education or development sector context
- Strong knowledge of training module development and adult learning principles
- Experience working with government education stakeholders such as teachers, headmasters, and district officials
- Proficiency in Gujarati, Hindi, and English, both spoken and written
- Must be a local candidate with familiarity with the Gujarat context
- Comfortable conducting field visits and observations across multiple locations
- Experience managing programme budgets and ensuring financial compliance
- Strong organisational and coordination skills
- Willingness to travel regularly across assigned work locations
