Pratham Education Foundation

pratham2 (1).jpeg Pratham is one of India's largest education nonprofits, working for over 30 years to improve learning outcomes for children and young people. Each year, Pratham reaches more than 6 million children and youth across 25 states and Union Territories through direct community programs and partnerships with state and district governments. Its work spans early learning, girls' and women's education, and youth skilling. Pratham's Gender Program works to remove the barriers that stop girls and women from accessing education and employment. These barriers include low confidence, lack of foundational skills, and social norms that limit what girls and women are expected to do. The program brings together learning for school, life, and work to help girls and women move confidently into the next stage of their lives, while also embedding a gender lens across all of Pratham's programs and internal systems.

Role

You will work closely with state and central teams to strengthen gender-responsive approaches across Pratham's programs. This is a hands-on role that combines content review, training design, capacity building, and field support to help teams better understand and respond to the needs of girls and women.

  • Support engagement with government stakeholders and partner organisations
  • Contribute to improving internal systems for planning, reporting, and documentation
  • Document processes, outcomes, and learnings from the program
  • Participate in discussions to shift mindsets and build capacities toward gender equality
