Role

The Counsellor will provide psychosocial support to patients and caregivers affected by cancer and other chronic medical conditions. The role involves individual and group counselling, patient guidance, healthcare coordination, documentation and collaboration with hospitals and healthcare providers to improve patient wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group counselling sessions for patients and caregivers.
• Provide psychosocial and emotional support throughout the treatment journey.
• Guide beneficiaries on social welfare schemes and healthcare support services.
• Maintain case files, patient records, and programme documentation.
• Coordinate with hospitals, clinicians, and healthcare institutions.
• Build partnerships with healthcare providers to facilitate patient services.
• Support patient-centred care and improve access to healthcare resources.
• Prepare reports and maintain programme documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology or Clinical Psychology.
• Freshers and candidates with up to 1 year of experience can apply.
• Experience in public health or healthcare programmes is an advantage.
• Strong counselling, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Good documentation and reporting abilities.
• Proficiency in English and the local language.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% within and outside the state.
