Role
The Data Analyst supports the data backbone of Piramal Swasthya's health programmes. You will build and test digital data collection forms, keep the daily flow of data clean and trustworthy, and help field, block and district teams use the dashboards and reports that guide their work. The role suits someone early in their career who is careful with detail, comfortable with large datasets, and happy to sit with frontline users until a tool actually works for them.
Responsibilities
- Build, test and revise ODK forms under guidance, including skip logic, constraints, choice lists, repeat groups and form version checks.
- Manage user access requests for ODK, DHIS2 and Superset, including user lists, password reset coordination and role based access documentation.
- Conduct hands-on field trainings and refreshers for ODK and dashboard users.
- Support the onboarding of community, block and district teams onto the data tools.
- Provide first line troubleshooting for ODK submissions, sync failures, login and access problems, and dashboard queries.
- Perform daily data cleaning, validation, error checks and duplicate checks, and escalate issues that need a fix.
- Support ETL runs, data quality checks, indicator validation and dashboard refresh monitoring on the agreed schedule.
- Monitor dashboards for slow performance, broken filters or charts, missing data and access issues, and follow them through to closure with developers and analysts.
- Prepare routine and ad-hoc analysis, MIS reports, data extracts and summary tables for programme teams.
- Maintain documentation for forms, reports, dashboards, user access, issue logs, training attendance and data quality actions.
- Coordinate closely with field and programme teams so that data standards are understood and followed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Medicine or a related field, or a Master's in Public Health or Health Administration with experience in the healthcare sector.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in data analysis, dashboard development and reporting. Freshers are welcome.
- Ability to handle large datasets and turn them into insights that help teams make decisions.
- Good working knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, charts and basic Power Query or data cleaning features.
- Familiarity with ODK Collect and ODK Central, XLSForm concepts, form testing, submissions and support for field users, or basic SQL knowledge in MySQL, PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server with the ability to write and modify simple extraction and validation queries.
- Ability to run daily data cleaning, validation checks, duplicate and error identification, and issue logging.
- Good coordination and communication skills with field and programme teams.
- Willingness to travel on a need basis and support hands-on trainings.
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to checking work.
- Knowledge of open source tools such as Superset, Metabase and DHIS2 is an advantage.
- An understanding of Python is an advantage.
- Exposure to SDLC, Agile methodology, Jira and API testing is an advantage.
